Billboard Top 20 Recording Artist, Water Seed has proven to be the best new thing hailing from New Orleans. Their ever-growing resume includes multiple performances at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, two performances at the New Orleans Essence Festival, the Richmond Jazz Festival, the Flood City Music Festival, a three month residency in Russia, the Dogwood Music Festival, headliner at the Apollo Theater (sold out show), the Civic Theater in New Orleans, Tipitina’s in New Orleans, the BAM Cafe in Brooklyn, Nyc, Martyr’s in Chicago,The Mint in Los Angeles, The Legendary Bitter End in New York, and countless other venues and festivals throughout the world.
Back in 2017, we had the honor of hosting some free workshops lead by Water Seed; The Passage of the Drum (from West Africa to New Orleans) with special guest, Cyril Neville and From Classical to Hip Hop with special guests, T –Ray the Violinist and Gary “The Urban Cellist” Washington.
We're thrilled to introduce the youth of New Orleans to this amazingly talented band as they lead our Master Artists Series at Upturn Arts.
